　　Teaching procedure:

　　Step 1

　　1 use the pictures to review the words: strawberries, cherries, pears, oranges, peaches, mangoes, grapes, pineapples.

　　2 Use the sentences “What are these? They are apples . Are they strawberries? Yes, they are. / No, they aren’t.” to practice.

　　3 Do the guess game: use the sentences “What are these? They are ……” to guess. S

　　tep 2

　　1 Point to the pictures. Ask Ss what the fruit is.

　　T: Are these peaches? [Ss: No, they aren't. They are pears.] What color are they?[Ss: They are green.]

　　2 Using the book. Let's listen first.

　　3 Play the tape and point to each word and sentence as it is sung.

　　4 Divide Ss into two groups. Group 1 sings the question and Group 5 sings the response. All Ss sing the pears. Pears part.

　　1 Have Ss look at the words on the page.

　　2 Read out the words and have Ss repeat.

　　3 Have Ss look at the pictures on the page.

　　T:（point to each picture.） What are these?[Ss: They're （apples）。]

　　T: Now connect the words and pictures.

　　T: （point to the red apples picture.） What are these?[Ss: They're apples.] What color are they? [Ss: They're red.]
