Step 1 Warming up

T: Do you like animals? What’s the biggest animal in the world? Who’s the tallest in the world? Who has the longest hair in the world? How long are the longest trousers in the world?
【设计意图】借助学生感兴趣的课外知识复习形容词的比较级和最高级,这样既可以有效复习旧知识,为新课学习奠定基础,同时可以很好地引起学生的兴趣和注意力。
Step 2 Presentation
1. Watch the cartoon.
2. Ask and answer questions about the conversation.
3. Guess the meaning of the words.
4. Repeat after the tape sentence by sentence.
5. Read in group.
【设计意图】让学生多听和模仿录音,可以锻炼学生的听力水平和形成正确的语音语调。
Step 3 Practice
(1) Fill in the blank.
(2) Look at the pictures and retell the conversation.
【设计意图】通过课文填空,帮助学生掌握知识的重点。复述课文的对话,可以锻炼学生的口语。
Step 4 Consolidation
Class Guiness
e.g. Who is the tallest in the class?
Who has the longest hair in the class?
Who is good at skipping?
【设计意图】通过设计一个挑战班级吉尼斯记录的活动,帮助学生运用知识于实际中,这样既帮助学生实践知识,加深对知识的理解,同时可以吸引学生的兴趣。
