  Pre-task Activities

  Step 1

  Sing a song.

  Step 2

  Ask and answer about the colour.

  While-task Activities

  Step 1

  Listen and guess.

  T: Where is it? (park, school, zoo, road)

  Step 2

  Learn: light, red light, yellow, light, green light.

  T: What can you see on the road?

  S: I can see…

  Teach ‘light’.

  T: How many lights are there on the traffic light?

  S: Three.

  T: What colour are they?

  S: Red. / Yellow. / Green.

  Step 3 Chant and game.

  Chant.

  Red light. Red light. I can see.

  Green light. Green light. I can see.

  Yellow light. Yellow light. I can see.

  Game.

  What light can you see?

  Invite a student to be the traffic light. And the whole class say: …light, …light. I can see.

  Step 4  Learn: Stop! Wait! Go!

  Show the traffic light.

  T:What colour is the traffic light?

  S:It’s green.

  T:Green light. Go!(Do an action)

  Green light, green light, go, go, go!

  The same way teach ‘wait,stop’.

  Step 5 Read the text on p31.

  Listen to the tape of p31.

  Read after the tape.

  Post-task Activities

  Step 1 Play a game.

  One student to be the traffic light. The other students do actions.

  Step 2 Do exercises.

  Have the students do Part B on Workbook page 31. And do pair works.
