  S1:Families are together.

  T: Do you know “Which food is special at Thanksgiving?”(课件展示感恩节大餐——火鸡图片)

  Turkey. At thanksgiving every family have a turkey. So turkey is special at Thanksgiving(课件出现该句)

  T: Which food is special at Moon Festival/Spring Festival/Lantern Festival/Dragon Boat festival/Christmas?

  S3: They say thank you for all the good things they have.

  T: What do people do? Families are together. So they have a lot of fun.

  d. Ask and answer in pairs with the drills.

  T: Do you want to hear if again? Now look carefully. Can you read this word? Near_hear(Can you hear me?)_nearly(几乎,接近, 差不多,), what can you find?(都有ear组合,发音相同)

  a. T: Take out this piece of paper. Read, tick and correct. Who can come here and give you answer?(领学生再次说关于感恩节)

  S: Lantern Festival is usually in February. Sometimes it’s in March. Families are together. We carry lanterns. We watch dragon dances. We eat yuanxiao. We say” Happy Lantern Festival” to people. We have a lot of fun…。

  四、Production(运用拓展)

  T: Now let’s have the special festival meal. Talk in groups with the information inside the envelope, and write it down like this. At Festival, families are together. We usually have a big dinner. We eat the special festival meal soon. We say “Happy Festival” to people. We have a lot of fun……

  五、Summary and Homework (小姐作业)

  T: Today we learned about a very important festival in America. That is Thanksgiving. Who can describe it?

  S: Thanksgiving is in November. Families are together. We have a big, special dinner. We say thank you for all the good things we have. We have a lot of fun…Thanksgiving is very important in America.

  T: And for today’s homework, write about your favourite festival after class.

  纵观本节课体现了一下几个方面

  1. 联系生活实际,促进学生主动学习

  说一说节日的特殊食物、看图片猜节日等活动设计,都是以学生的生活经验和认知为出发点,取材于学生的实际生活,是学生在生活中发现并使用英语。

  2. 注重过程评价,关住学生发展

  除了对学生进行口头鼓励以及带有肯定的手势外,巧妙的结合节日话题,运用跟节日相关的小礼物(圣诞节的圣诞老人,万圣节的面具,复活节的玩具兔子和玩具小鸡)对学生进行评价奖励,体现了教师在评价上得用心,学生也在进一步感知节日的同时体验到了学习英语的乐趣。

  3. 活动设计有侧磁性,提高学生能力

  本课通过“进行节日大餐”的任务设计,仅仅围绕本课中难点进行有效活动设计。通过感恩节的阅读判断改错练习,感恩节由来的扩展阅读,借助图片内容描述节日,小组借助信息描述并书写节日这几个不同层次的活动,让每个学生都参与到学习活动中,使他们的听、说、读、写能力得到全面提升。

  4. 培养学生学习英语的兴趣和自信

  在本课的课文中出现了感恩节的英文小诗,让学生模仿它并完成老师最喜欢的节目——中秋节的小诗创作,激发了学生的兴趣,让学生体验到自己也能够作诗的喜悦,从而提高了学习信心。
