Teaching methods:
In order to achieve the teaching aims and break the teaching key and difficult points, I’ll mainly use task-based teaching method and activity teaching method. In class, I will also use encouraging remarks to help the students build up their self-confidence in learning English and their interest in English. Meanwhile I will also make full use of the modern equipment to make our class more interesting and lively.
Teaching aids:

Teaching process:
Step 1. Warming-up and leading-in:
1. Listen to the following chant and try to follow it. Chant: I’ve got a new pen and a new pencil. You’ve got a new book and a new desk. (Purpose: Through this chant, the Ss can review the drills “I’ve got/ You’ve got…” and get ready for the next step.)
2. Free Talk: What have you got on last New Year’s Day. e.g. I’ve got a new toy. I’ve got a new book. (Purpose: Lead into the key drills. You know, New Year’s Day just passed for a few days. I’m sure on New Year’s Day the students have got some presents. The communication is real and connected with their real life.)
3. Do ask and answer
(1) Who gave it to you? Lead them to say: My mum/friend... gave it to me.
(2) What did you buy for your parents or friends? Lead them to say: I bought a …for my friend.
